Well I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Being fan of the Halloween film series, I took an in costume self portrait. In the photo I am wearing the new 2018 version of the infamous Michael Myers mask by Trick or Treat Studios that I hand repainted myself.

My photo was meant for fun and was intended to mimic the look of the Fangoria cover image taken by photographer Dan Winters.

I have seen countless people re-post the image all over the place. Many have properly credited me, but there are a few who did not. I even found one claiming they themselves had taken the photo. I guess what they don’t realize is that my photo is actually heavily watermarked all over in strategic places.

Is it that hard to give credit where credit is due? I mean sure, its just fan art. Its a popular character and with the new film its popularity is at a high right now so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

One thing I find amusing is that some instagram accounts that re-posted it got more likes than the image on my own account. I am glad people enjoy and like the image though. So that’s something.
